The Crazy Lady has "Cowgirled Up" !

In April 2006, we purchased Absolute Cowgirl – ‘Ebony’ from Sawyer Creek Appaloosas in Northern New York [www.sawyercreek.com].

We would like to thank Julie and John Kreider for the opportunity to add this wonderful filly to our family.

Absolute Cowgirl

Working with Julie has been a wonderful experience. We were able to watch Ebony on the foal cam right after she was born! Julie kept us posted on her over the next several months, including updated photos posted on her webpage for the world to see and a few more trips under the foal cam as seen in the photos featured here when she was about 30 days old. It felt almost as if I was there watching her grow into the wonderful filly she is now.

Currently, Ebony is in training in Marysville, Ohio. She will be shown in the Mid-West in Open Weanling Halter Fillies through October 2006.  At that time, she will be continuing her show career in Texas in Non-Pro and Open halter classes

Her sire is Hi Tech Cowboy owned by Brian Amerine and Amy Kocher of Sycamore Run Appaloosas LLC.  [www.sycamorerunappaloosas.com Hi Tech is a Black and White leopard son of [ApHC Hall of Fame Sire] Dreamfinder and Impress a Cowboy [Cowboy Justice Daughter].

Hi Tech was bred and raised by Sawyer Creek Appaloosas and was the high selling horse in the Appaloosa World Show Select Sale when Brian and Amy purchased him.

As Ebony was going through her weaning, we started talking with Brian about what a wonderful filly she was and how proud we were to own a daughter to his stallion. After many long conversations, we decided to place Ebony with Brian's trainer at the time. It has been wonderful working with Brian and Amy who took great care in transporting Ebony from New York all the way down to Ohio.

Cactus (C Im A Shado Two) Update

Cactus arrived safely and in wonderful shape on July 22nd here at the Crazy Lady Ranch.  We were expecting him to be tired and a little worn out from his travels, but he was happy and full of energy and was a perfect gentleman when we unloaded him.  We have not yet made the trip to the vet to see if he will be available for AI. We wanting to let him get settled in well before we put him back in a trailer. We will keep y’all posted as we get further information.

We are planning on taking him to the September show in Brenham Texas.  He is such a beautiful stallion, and has an absolutely wonderful personality to boot; it is hard not to show him off. For those of you that are wondering how "roaned" out he is now that he is at the ripe ol' age of 17 we are including some photos from his arrival in July. As you can see...he has a little gray around the eyes and muzzle...but other than that, he is as black as he ever was! For more detailed infomation please visit his page.
